Alex has been in Radio since he was 12 years old, now well over that age.
He was born in Johnstone, lived in Howwood Road and moved to Graham Street in the town.
He is co founder of Johnstone Sound which was formed in 2019.
He was working at Clydeside Scottish as bus driver back when they had the London route master buses.
He move South in 1990 and is part of a few Radio stations there.
But his heart is always in Johnstone his hometown. His family still lives in the town and he went to Johnstone High School he left to form the Johnstone’s Talking newspaper or the blind when he was 16 years old along with a few of his friends. The Talking Newspaper is now over 40 years now called Renfrewshire Sound and is still going today providing a vital service for the local blind community, and he is still part of the service he looks after the services website.
